“Cross over children. All are welcome. All welcome. Go into the Light. There is peace and serenity in the Light.”

2 more idol contenders get to go through that door. Scary. How do you tell yourself it’s not real when every nerve in your body is buzzing? The vicarious thrill of millions watching. Such raw energy. Juice. And then, when it’s suddenly sucked back out again… who or what is left standing after that? Who’s going to remind these kids to breathe?

Another movie tonight: Cold Mountain. Thoughts: Major melodrama. But at least Nicole Kidman and Jude Law get to do it before he dies. (Oops, that was a spoiler. So sorry!)

well- the vast void WAS American Idol last night-poo on most of the singers. They were Boooot!

The vast void you feel is profound- and I know the feeling of finding something else for distraction- to keep busy mind going- there’s the PC, the TV, The DVD, The VCR- gotta get a snack, oh, there’s vacuuming to be done (and does it really need to be done right now?) We distract to avoid the truth (as Jon puts it). And we both know what happens when we embrace the truth- things are different- centered, calm- not right or wrong- they just are- and that’s ok. Still, old habits die hard- and we distract to the point of distraction. Get in your papasan chair- on your cushion, and just be- and I’ll remember to be, too.

and don’t forget- if you’re in the middle of PC distraction you can always go to your meditation room and get a little help.
